Nancy Fay Reece

Nancy Fay Reece, 98, of Pampa, died Sunday, January 11, 2015, in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 15, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Ran Loy, pastor, and John Curry, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Reece was born April 26, 1916 in Menard, Texas. She married C. B. Reece on Sept. 14, 1938 in Menard. He preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2006. Fay worked as a secretary for the Big Lake ISD for 18 years before moving to Pampa in 1966. She then worked as the superintendent’s secretary for the Pampa ISD for 12 years, retiring in 1978. Fay was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Winsome Sunday school class. She was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association, Big Lake Chapter #752 Order of the Eastern Star, Pampa Fine Arts Association, Pampa Art Club, and the Coronado Dance Club. Fay was an avid bridge player and enjoyed doing needlepoint. Fay was a sweet and positive lady who touched many lives in Pampa. Survivors include three nephews, John Wilson of Tulsa, OK, Charles Wilson of George West, and Jim Oliver of Houston; and two nieces, Marilyn Seaman and Patti Fox, both of Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nancy Wilson, and by a brother, Horace Wilson. Memorials may be made to Pampa Senior Citizens Center, 500 W.
