Loreta Doan, 93, died in Pampa on January 15, 2015. Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Dale Meadows, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Doan was born April 8, 1921 in Bells, Texas where she was reared and attended schools. She married Rayburn “Red” Doan on November 18, 1939 in Bonham. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1987. She had been a resident of White Deer from 1948 until moving to Pampa in 1950. She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ for over 55 years, where she was active in helping with funeral dinners and Christmas dinners for the church. Loreta enjoyed the outdoors where she enjoyed her koi fish pond, but she really loved to garden where she kept an immaculate yard. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Wolfe; a great-grandson, Zach Doan; three sisters, Ethel Leeth, Gladys Duncan and Ruby Lance; and a brother, Wilbur Lance. The family would like to express their appreciation for Coronado Healthcare and Interim Hospice nurses and aides for their love and care of Loreta. Survivors include two sons, Max Doan and Jim Doan and wife Tish, all of Pampa; two daughters, Betty Wolfe and husband Lloyd and Patricia Doan, all of Pampa; seven grandsons, Johnny Doan of Skellytown, Mark Wolfe of Farmington, New Mexico, Zach Wolfe of White Deer, Chris Wolfe of Astoria, Oregon, Kevin Doan and Luke Smith, both of Pampa, and Corey Smith of Baytown; one granddaughter, Trina Allen of Pampa; 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Cairl McAnally of Pampa.
