Roy G. Floyd, 87, died January 22, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Brian Thomas of Harvest Bible Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Floyd was born January 19, 1928 in Granite, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Elsie Hartman on March 21, 1950 in Arnett, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on June 29, 2000. Roy had been a resident of Pampa since 1950. He worked as a mechanic for Celanese Corporation, retiring in 1991 after 20 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Davis in 2007. Survivors include his son, Terry Floyd of Amarillo; and one grandson, Jared Floyd and wife Amber of Pampa; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Floyd of Pampa.
