Jacque "Nanny" Jouett

Jacque "Nanny" Jouett, of Pampa, passed away January 23, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Hobart Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Watson, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Justin Jouett, her grandson, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Jacque Ann Johnson was born on December 7, 1935 in Giles to Alice and B.C. Johnson of Hedley. She attended Hedley High school. She married her longtime sweetheart Wallace Jouett in 1953 and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2014. They celebrated 61 years together. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be missed greatly. She was an Order of Eastern Star member and also a member of Hobart Baptist church. She had been a resident of the Pampa community for more than 50 yrs. Jacque was preceded in death by her parents, Alice & B.C. Johnson; a daughter, Vickie Maxey; a daughter-in-law Terry; and by a grandson, Zackary Jouett. She is survived by a son, Ronny Jouett of Pampa, by a sister, Barbara Baggett of Pampa, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great great-granddaughter. The family will have a visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. Memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 411 South Fillmore Street, Amarillo, TX 79109.
