Jere Michael “Mike” Blevins, 73, passed away on January 26, 2015 in Pampa. Private services were held Friday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Bob Birkenfeld, deacon of Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth, officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mike was born December 26, 1941 in Pampa to Marguerite and Levi Blevins. He met the love of his life, Bertha Jolene Pemberton, in Laverne, Oklahoma. They were married July 15, 1961, and had two daughters, Jeri Sue and Donna Kay. Bertha preceded him in death in March of 1994. Mike worked for Transwestern Pipeline, Northern Natural Gas and Enron, retiring in 1994. Survivors include his daughters, Jeri Sue Joiner and husband Warren of Pampa, and Donna Kay Smith and husband Phillip of Weatherford, Oklahoma; a sister, Kay Venhause of Nazareth; three brothers, Jim Blevins of Mimber, New Mexico, Geary Blevins of Pierceville, Kansas, and Terry Blevins of Ponca City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Joshua, McKenzie, Taylor, Susie, Hailey and Beth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
