Kenneth V. Shipley

Kenneth V. Shipley, 75, of Pampa, died Sunday, February 1, 2015, in Pampa. There will be no services scheduled. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Shipley was born March 29, 1939 in Eunice, New Mexico. He was a 1957 graduate of Kellyville High School in Kellyville, Oklahoma. Kenneth served in the U. S. Army from 1957-1964. He married Mary Jo Corley on June 11, 1966 in Odessa. He was a resident of Arlington for 48 years before moving to Pampa on Oct. 28, 2014. Kenneth was a truck driver for Martin-Brower Corp. for 20 years and later worked for the Texas Rangers at the Ball Park at Arlington for 8 years. He did volunteer work for special needs children in Arlington. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Shipley, of the home; a son, Michael Shipley of Arlington; a sister, Judy Haynes of Pampa; and a grandson, Shawn Pilgrim and wife Liz of Arlington.
