Norma Lee Combs, 85, of Pampa, died Saturday, January 31, 2015, in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 3, 2015, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Jim Yates, chaplain of Interim Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Combs was born on June 26, 1929 in Carter, Oklahoma to Clarence and Zula Ann Hill. She was raised in White Deer and lived in Amarillo, Mesquite, and Mineral Wells before returning to Pampa in 1996. Norma married James Jackson Combs on January 9, 1950 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was a member of Hobart Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Joy Combs, of Pampa; a son, James Combs, of Pampa; a brother, R. E. Hill and wife Mollie of Lamesa; a brother-in-law, Frank Holman and wife Bonnie of Lake Village; 3 grandchildren, Jason Hartwig of White Deer, Allison Combs of San Jose, CA, and Tyler Hartwig of Grapevine; 4 great grandchildren, Hope Hartwig, Kaylee Hartwig, Mercedes Hartwig, and Micah Graham; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Norma was also preceded in death by her parents, and by 2 brothers, Clifford Hill and Richard Hill. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
