Ruby King Bromlow

Ruby King Bromlow, 78, died February 19, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, February 23, 2015, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Bromlow was born May 13, 1936 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. As a young girl, her family traveled extensively through her father’s work. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1961. Ruby married Garold Bromlow on December 24, 2007. She was a member of Barrett Baptist Church. Ruby worked at Pampa Senior Citizens Center, Dairy Queen and the City of Pampa Recycling Center. In her spare time, she liked to sew and bowl. Ruby will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ruby was preceded in death by husbands, Carol Dean Lewis and Tommie King; a son, Thomas Eugene Lewis; a stepson, Ricky Don King; a grandson, Simon Christopher King; two brothers, Harvey Brown and James Brown; and a sister, Bobby Howeth. Survivors include her husband, Garold Bromlow of the home; two sons, Billy Lewis and Allen Lewis and wife Betsie, all of Pampa; stepdaughter, Mona Pendergraph of Dewar, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ellen Stauffer of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Earlene Phelps of Amarillo; a brother, Earl Brown of Amarillo; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:30 PM on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Pampa Senior Citizens Center, 500 W. Francis, Pampa, Texas 79065.
