Darlene David

Darlene David, 71, died February 24, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. David was born November 9, 1943 in Sacramento, California. She had been a lifelong resident of Pampa. She married Vincon David, Sr., on September 9, 1970 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2005. Darlene was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a loving mother who took care of many friends and family. For the past four years, she was a caretaker for Helen Hall. Darlene was preceded in death by a son, Charlie David in 1984. Survivors include five sons, Donald “Cooder” Coil, John Coil and wife Donna, and Shane Hagle, all of Pampa, Vincon “Buddy” David, Jr. and wife Dawn of De Beque, Colorado, and Harold “Blue Boy” Hagle and wife Kathy of Pueblo, Colorado; two daughters, Donna “Red” Winkleblack and Monte Lackey of Pampa, and Julie David of Lubbock; a sister, Birdie Nunn of Skellytown; two brothers, Sonny Watkins and Dale Watkins, both of Mountainburg, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and her three dogs, Taz, Kacy and Little Dog.
