James Earl Ledford, 66, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Lefors. Services will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM, March 3, 2015 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Ben Corbitt, pastor of Faith Tabernacle, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa. Mr. Ledford was born February 22, 1949 in Oakland, California. James had been lifelong resident of Pampa moving to Lefors in 2009. He married Patsy Ruth McKeen on April 17, 1973 in Pampa. James was a pumper for Conoco Phillips for 32 years retiring in 2009. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. James was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Evelyn Ledford and a brother, Darrell Wayne Ledford. Survivors include his wife, Patsy R. Ledford of the home; three sons, Jay Ledford and wife Monica, James Ledford, Jeff Mayfield and wife Danielle, all of Pampa; two daughters, Diana Crotwell, Angela Browning and husband Roger, all of Lefors; 8 grandchildren, Stormie Ledford, Harley Mayfield, and Lacy Herron, all of Pampa; Whitney Browning, Rheba Browning and Lynn Herron, all of Lefors; Hunter Ledford of Corona, California, and Caleb Ledford of South Carolina; a great-grandson, Dalton Nichols of Pampa; a brother, Jerry Ledford of Fritch; two sisters, Ada Westbrook and husband Cliff, and Sharon Winborne and husband John all of Pampa.
