Dennis Randall Dunn

Dennis Randall Dunn, 66, of Lefors, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Lefors. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, March 16, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Dunn was born on January 26, 1949 in Pampa. He grew up in Lefors where he attended schools and graduated from Lefors High School in the class of 1967. Following graduation, he enrolled at West Texas University. After college, he entered the oil and gas industry where he traveled and worked throughout Texas and Oklahoma. He worked as a roustabout and pumper in his earlier years in Odessa, Wheeler, and Weatherford. In the latter part of his career, he worked as driller consultant. He was a Baptist. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to casinos and horse races. He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents, and by his father, Chestine Dunn. Survivors include his daughters, Lori Hodgkins and husband Vernon and Cindy Harbin, all of Odessa; his mother, Colleen Dunn of Coahoma; two brothers, Terry Dunn of Coahoma and Michael Dunn and wife Amy of Big Spring, his sister, Jonetta Sweatt of Big Spring, and by two nieces and host of other extended family. Memorials can be made to a favorite charity.
