Bobby R. Trammell, 86, of Pampa, died March 18, 2015 in Pampa. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Eldorado Cemetery in Eldorado, Oklahoma, with Rev. Pete Wylie, pastor of First Baptist Church of Eldorado, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Trammell was born July 12, 1928 in Hollis, Oklahoma. He was reared in Lincoln, Oklahoma where he attended school. After high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Army. Bobby married Joy Newcomb on January 3, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico. He worked throughout the Texas Panhandle for Phillips Petroleum, eventually moving to Pampa in 1981. He retired in 1985 after 33 years of service. Bobby was a member of First Baptist Church, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Gruver. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing and watching sports, but most of all, Bobby loved being with his family. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mattie Royal Trammell; two daughters, Bobby Sue Trammell and Joy Coleen Trammell; four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife, Joy Trammell of the home; two sons, Clif Trammell and wife Jane of Texhoma, Oklahoma, and Ronnie Trammell and wife Rhonda of Edmond, Oklahoma; his sister, Pearl Brown of Atlanta, Texas; three granddaughters, Karen Hatfield and husband Darrell of Owasso, Oklahoma, Katie Trammell of Round Rock, and Bethany Hager and husband Terrence of Stratford; four grandsons, Mitch Trammell and wife Valerie of Arcadia, Oklahoma, Ronnie Trammell and wife Carrie of Edna, Brent Trammell and wife Emily of Iola, Kansas, and Paul Trammell of Lubbock; seven great grandchildren, Drew, Evelyn, Camille, Sarah, Samantha, Charlotte and Stevie; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
