Doris F. Adams, 83, of Mineola, died April 15, 2015 in Mineola. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Miami, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Adams was born April 1, 1932 in Miami. She attended schools in Miami and graduated from Miami High School. As a young lady, Doris attended cosmetology school in Pampa and later moved to Amarillo where she worked as a hairdresser. She married Jack Adams in Amarillo, and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1992. Doris was a Baptist. She enjoyed gardening, and had a natural gift for raising plants. She loved playing Bingo and shopping for antiques. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mable Laflin; a brother, Carl Laflin; a grandson, Jacob Trevathan; and a granddaughter, Sara Trevathan. Survivors include five sons, Paul Weeks of Quitman, Glen Adams and David Adams, both of Mineola, Carl Adams of San Antonio, and Shane Adams and wife Diane of Pampa; a daughter, Janet Adams of Pampa; a sister, Maxine Howard of Miami; four granddaughters, Tamara Trevathan of Clovis, New Mexico, Brittany Lowenstein, Michelle Adams and Amy Adams, all of Pampa; three grandsons, Levi Trevathan and Zachary Trevathan, both of Sayre, Oklahoma and Ryan Adams of San Antonio; five great-grandchildren, Easton, Emery, Dayton, Justice, and Kayden.
