David Chavez, 42, of Pampa, died April 22, 2015 in Houston. Liturgy of the Word will be at 7:00 PM Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Chavez was born February 6, 1973 in Michoacan, Mexico. He married Maria Campos on April 15, 1998 in Riverside, California. He worked for the Red River Dairy for over 20 years in California and then in Pampa when he relocated here 11 years ago. David was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. He was a friendly man who always had a smile on his face. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who provided for his family and who was known as a great husband and father. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ana Maria Chavez. Survivors include his wife, Maria Chavez of the home; two daughters, Ana Maria Chavez and Samantha Chavez, both of the home; two sons, Anthony Chavez and Ulysses Chavez, both of the home; his father, David Chavez of Michoacan, Mexico; and three brothers, Gerardo Chavez of Pampa, Patricio Chavez and Jose Chavez, both of Michoacan, Mexico.
