Jo Ann Morgenstern

Jo Ann Morgenstern, 85, of Miami, died May 3, 2015 in Miami. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Miami, with Rev. Dennis Williams, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Morgenstern was born July 17, 1929 in Big Timber, Montana to Herman and Linda Hausserman where she grew up on a farm situated on the Yellowstone River in Sweet Grass County. She married Melvin Morgenstern on October 12, 1951 in Big Timber. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1995. Jo Ann had been a resident of Miami since 1973. She was a clerk at the Roberts County Court House for 17 years. Jo Ann attended the First Baptist Church in Miami and also the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Canadian. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her step mother, Katie Hausserman and a brother, Tim Hausserman. Survivors include four daughters, Katherine Morgenstern, Carol Roberson and Christie Hall, all of Miami and Sue Gaines of Wheeler; two sons, Marvin Morgenstern of Amarillo and Ken Morgenstern of Rowlett; one brother, Dan Hausserman of Watertown, Massachusetts; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
