Kenneth Bowers, 75, of McLean, died May 4, 2015 in McLean. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Groom Cemetery in Groom, with Dr. Jeff Knighton, pastor of First Christian Church of Pampa, officiating. Full military honors are courtesy of the U. S. Air Force and the U. S. Navy. Arrangements ae under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Bowers was born November 6, 1939 in Borger. He had been a resident of McLean for the past 31 years. Kenneth married Debbie Halpain on July 6, 2002. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and the U. S. Navy, serving for 30 years and retiring as a senior chief. He enjoyed gardening and was known as the “onion man.” Kenneth was preceded in death by three brothers, Rowdy Bowers, Sonny Bowers and David Bowers. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Bowers of the home; his son, Greg Bowers of Howardwick; two stepsons, Erik Halpain and wife Mary of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Lance Halpain and wife Mandy of Mineral Wells; eight grandchildren, Cody Bowers, Jacob Bowers, Shannon Bowers, Blake Halpain, Lee Halpain, Destiny Halpain, Page Halpain and Dakota Halpain; and three great grandchildren, Layla Bowers, Waylon Lyons and Riley Lyons. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
