Michael Beldon Smith

Michael Beldon Smith, 62, of Pampa, died May 3, 2015 in Grapevine. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, May 11, 2015, at Central Baptist Church in Pampa, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Smith was born March 4, 1953 in San Diego, California. He married Linda Lowe on October 5, 1974 in San Diego. She preceded him in death on December 9, 2013. Michael had been a resident of Pampa since 1975, moving from San Diego. He worked for Cabot Corporation, retiring in 2014. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Michael enjoyed going on an annual elk hunt with his son to Chama, New Mexico. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Everett Smith and Kathryn Lois Beldon Smith. Survivors include his son, Michael John Smith and wife Jennifer and their sons, Byron Bragg and Beau Bragg of Keller; a sister, Kathy Smith Wopperer of Amarillo; two brothers, Kevin Smith of Spring Valley, California, and Tim Smith of San Diego; and his dog, Buddy.
