Frank P. Slagle, 87, died June 3, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 8, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, with military honors courtesy of the U. S. Navy. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Slagle was born December 9, 1927 in Fannin County. He attended grade school in Fannin County and attended high school in Honey Grove. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II. After the war, he went to school to be an electrician. Frank had been a resident of Pampa since 1965. He worked for Phillips Petroleum, retiring after 26 years of service. He worked for Quarles Electric before receiving his master electrician’s certification, and then later went into business for himself. Frank married Norma Baggerman in 1985 in Pampa. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. He was a big Dallas Cowboy fan. Frank was a loving husband, father, stepfather and grandfather. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Marie Elizabeth Roach Slagle; two sons, Bryan Slagle and James Douglas Slagle; five brothers, Grover, Bob, Henry, Jack and Wayne Slagle; and 2 sisters, Beatrice Weise and Reba Meade. Survivors include his wife, Norma Slagle of the home; daughter-in-law, Pam Slagle of Amarillo; two stepsons, Earnest Baggerman and wife Dianne of Miami, and Roger Baggerman and wife Robin of Rowlett; two stepdaughters, Peggy Baggerman of Groom, and Madina Joshi of McKinney; 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, Texas 79065. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
