Carnelia Marjorie Bertram, 98, formerly of Pampa, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Brazosport Regional Hospital in Lake Jackson. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Doug Yates, pastor of the Plainview Family Church of the Nazarene, and Rev. Jimmye Cole, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Bertram was born December 22, 1916 in Moriarty, New Mexico. At the age of 15, she married Lambert “Buck” Bertram on January 2, 1932 in Woodward, Oklahoma, and moved to Higgins. They moved to The Carriage Inn retirement facility in Lake Jackson in 2002. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2004, after 74 years of marriage. Carnelia enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading, and watching old western movies. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Pampa. Carnelia was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include her son, James Bertram and wife Phyllis; grandson, Daniel Bertram and wife Carol; granddaughter, Susan Vickers and husband Andy; and four great grandchildren, Heather and Keith Bertram, and Jason and Travis Vickers.
