Bill Kenner, 87, of Pampa, died July 31, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Kenner was born June 7, 1928 in Cordell, Oklahoma. He had been a lifelong resident of Pampa. He married Evelyn Gloden on January 6, 1950 in Clayton, New Mexico. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2003. Bill was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II. He was in the oilfield business for 30 years, and owned and operated Billco Trucking. He raised and raced quarter horses. Bill’s favorite roping horse was “Reno.” He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a former roping club president for the Top O’ Texas Rodeo Association. Bill was also preceded in death by a brother, Lance Kenner; a sister, Tampa Douglass; and his parents, Hugh and Lorene Kenner. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Kenner Mathis of the home; two sons, Karl Kenner and wife Cathy of Amarillo, and John Kenner and wife Lisa of Carrollton; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack Kenner of Tyler, and Jimmy Kenner and wife Glenda of Kenai, Alaska.
