Jerry L. Gardner, 77, of Pampa, died August 4, 2015 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, August 7, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Keith Feerer, minister of Mary Ellen Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Gardner was born July 15, 1938 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University. He married Dolores Jean Arnett Ivy on August 27, 1960 in Lovington, New Mexico. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1974. Jerry owned and operated Tri-Plains International for many years. He worked for Culberson-Stowers for several years and retired with the Ford dealership (currently Fenton’s). He was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ and a life member of the Pampa Gun Club. Jerry loved camping and fishing with his sons. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ruth Gardner. Survivors include his wife, Dolores Gardner of the home; two sons, Wade Gardner and wife Tana of Big Lake, and Torrey Gardner of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Trenton Gardner, Chance Gardner and Sydney Gardner; and a close cousin, Ed Dyer of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
