Perry Lee May, 42, of Pampa, died August 21, 2015 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Trinity Presbyterian Church in Denton, with Rev. Craig Hunter, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. May was born November 12, 1972 in Lewisville. He graduated from Lake Dallas High School where he played and developed a love for football. He graduated from Texas Women’s University with a degree in history and government. Perry coached at Prosper High School, Lake Dallas High School, Scurry-Rosser High School, Allen High School, Denton Ryan High School, and Pampa High School. He owned and operated a successful construction business called Coach’s Construction for many years. He married Nicole DuPree on March 21, 1994 in Denton. Trinity Presbyterian in Denton was his church home. He enjoyed working with his hands and helping others. He was a simple, humble man who loved his family. He impacted so many young athletes throughout his career. Perry was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Paul May. Survivors include his wife, Nicole DuPree May of the home; three sons, Dylan Howard May of Fresno, Andrew Glen May and Cole Pearson May, both of the home; one daughter, Chloe Elise May of the home; his mother, Nancy May of Denton; his father, A. P. May of Lake Dallas; one sister, Connie Berry and husband Wendell of Sanger; and five brothers, David Sams and wife Darla of Penrose, North Carolina, Darren Sams and wife Cathy of Justin, Forrest Sams and wife Yuko of Salt Lake City, Utah, Edwin May of New York, and Brelon May of Arkansas. Memorials or donations may be made into an account that has been established at Happy State Bank in Pampa, to benefit Andrew, Cole and Chloe May, under the name of Nicole May.
