Bonnie Rose Lewis

Bonnie Rose Lewis, 86, of Pampa, died September 3, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Fred Palmer of the Carpenter’s Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Lewis was born September 12, 1928 in Heth, Arkansas. She married Cecil L. Lewis on March 4, 1950 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in February of 1998. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1980. Bonnie was a homemaker and a member of both the Carpenter’s Church and Progressive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Stone in 1970; her father, Ralph Grimes in March of 1982; and a sister, Myrtle Catlett. Survivors include three sons, Ralph Lewis and wife Jo Ann of Curptino, California, Jimmy Lewis and wife Sandy of Pampa, and Andy Lewis of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Bill Lewis, Tammy Lewis, Monique Lewis, Michelle Lewis, Julianthony Lewis and Danielle Williams; and four great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 10900-B Stonelake Blvd., Suite 320, Austin, Texas 78759. The family will receive friends at 2618 Navajo in Pampa.
