Barbara Jean Smith

Barbara Jean Smith, 78, of Pampa, died October 20, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 24, 2015, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor, and Rev. Mike Watson, pastor of Hobart Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Barbara was born September 27, 1937 in Big Spring. She was a 1956 graduate of Pampa High School. She married Earl Smith on November 9, 1956 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and she served on the 1956 Class Reunion Committee up until the time of her death. Barbara was a volunteer with Good Samaritan Christian Services and the Good News Club. Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Donald Earl Smith. Survivors include her husband, Earl Smith of the home; a daughter, Dana Beth Holland and husband Joe of Breckenridge, Colorado; a granddaughter, Brady Jo Holland of Newport Beach, California; a grandson, Dr. Ben Holland and wife Christina of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Bethel Walker and husband J. B. of Pampa; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests no flowers, please. Memorials may be made to Good News Club, c/o Harvest Bible Church, 300 W.
