Jimmie D. Allen, 75, of Pampa, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2015 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor of First Baptist Church of White Deer, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Allen was born April 16, 1940 in Borger to Frank and Allie Allen. He attended Lefors and Pampa schools. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1952. Jimmie married Marilyn Whitener in 1959, and she preceded him in death in January of 1972. He later married Billie Nixon on September 8, 1972, and she preceded him in death on March 21, 2010. Jimmie was an honest and hardworking man with a good sense of humor. He enjoyed drag racing and being outside with his dogs. He owned and operated Jimmie’s Car & Truck Shop from 1985 until his retirement in 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Tony Allen and Jason Allen. Survivors include a son, Jeffery Allen of Pampa; a daughter, Amber Stephens of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Megan Coffey of Amarillo; four grandsons, Justin Lee of Oklahoma City, Tymothy Saxon Allen of Yukon, Oklahoma, Andrew Zane Allen of Ruston, Louisiana, and Jimmie Jeffery Allen of Ft. Stewart, Georgia; a sister, Charlett Geopfert and husband Virgil of Amarillo; plus extended family who reside in Oklahoma who will miss his wise council and steadfastness of his life to all who knew him and loved him.
