JoAnn Charlotte Shilinsky, 71, died November 1, 2015 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Dallas Stringer, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, and Rev. Richard Bartel, associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Shilinsky was born May 22, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended schools and graduated high school in Ohio. Shortly after graduation, she married the love of her life, Walter John Shilinsky, on March 18, 1961 in Cleveland, and they spent 48 wonderful years of marriage together before his death on December 25, 2009. JoAnn had been a resident of Tyler in the late 1970’s, moving to Pampa in 1981. She had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1982. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, crocheting, quilting and sewing. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed reading her Bible regularly. She had written a book that was scheduled to be published before her death occurred. JoAnn will be greatly missed by family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Walter John Shilinsky, III and David Charles Shilinsky, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Deborah Lynn Shilinsky and Cheryl Lee Zanchettin and husband Robert, all of Amarillo; a brother, Charles Lammi and wife Marla of Loudon, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Joshua Edward Koerner of Vincennes, Indiana, and April Breeanne Shilinsky and Caitlin Delaney Zanchettin, both of Amarillo; and two sisters-in-law, Veronica Legg of Rittman, Ohio and Cecelia Williams of Cleveland, Ohio.
