Helen Ruth Connell

Helen Ruth Connell, 74, of Pottsboro, and formerly of Lefors, died November 5, 2015 in Denison. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, November 9, 2015, at Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors, with Rev. Ken Houston, pastor of First Baptist Church of Lefors, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Connell was born December 16, 1940 in Erick, Oklahoma. She married Malcolm Connell on November 9, 1978 in Pampa. She had been a resident of Lefors until moving to Pottsboro in 2003. She worked for Lefors ISD and Alanreed ISD as a teacher. Helen Ruth was a former member of First Baptist Church in Lefors. Survivors include her husband, Malcolm Connell of the home; three sons, Randall Eldridge of Pottsboro, Anthony Eldridge of Hobbs, New Mexico and Mark Connell of Lefors; a daughter, Tess Harden of Lefors, a brother-in-law, Carl Connell of Pampa and many grandchildren.
