JoAnn "JoJo" Morehart

JoAnn “JoJo” Morehart, 38, of Pampa, died November 7, 2015 in Lubbock. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, November 13, 2015, at First Assembly of God with Rev. Ed Sattesahn, pastor, and Rev. Mark Lang, rector of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Miss Morehart was born April 1, 1977 in Pampa. She was a 1999 graduate of Pampa High School, and was elected as Prom Queen her senior year. JoAnn was the mail room clerk at Cabot for 20 years. She was a member of First Assembly of God, attending there for 34 years, and loved the Lord with all her heart. JoAnn was a member of Pampa Special Olympics for 30 years. She was a faithful participant in bowling, basketball and track. JoAnn was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John Morehart, Sr.; and her uncle, Daniel Morehart. Survivors include her parents, John and Rhonda Morehart of the home; a brother, Ricky Morehart and wife Ashley of Pampa; a nephew, Maddow Morehart; a niece, Lennox Morehart; her paternal grandmother, Dolores June Morehart of Missouri; her maternal grandparents, Tom and JoAnn McKay of Pampa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, including her aunt, Linda Ellis, also known as “my sister.” She loved all her extended family at Cabot and Pampa Special Olympics. Memorials may be made to Pampa Special Olympics, PO Box 375, Pampa, Texas 79066-0375. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
