Jack Nichols, 52, of Pampa, died November 9, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Jim Sinyard, pastor of the Carpenter’s Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military honors courtesy of U. S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Nichols was born October 1, 1963 in Littlefield where he attended schools. He had been a resident of Pampa since the mid 1980’s. Jack owned and operated Your Lawn & Garden. He worked for Nickels Industrial, and worked throughout the United States in the oilfield industry as a diesel mechanic, later working for Texas Department of Criminal Justice for over nine years before his retirement. Jack was a veteran of the U. S. Army. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding dirt track and riding his motorcycle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jack as preceded in death by his father, Alton Frank Nichols; a son, Pattrick Nichols; and a brother, Ricky Joe Nichols. Survivors include his wife, Valerie Nichols of the home; two daughters, Renee Nichols of Pampa, and Jessica Moore and husband Todd of Laos; three sons, Frank Nichols and Joshua Combs and wife Amanda, all of Pampa, and Jonathan Combs and wife Haley of Borger; his mother, Joann Franklin of Littlefield; three sisters, Frankie Johnson and husband Wesley of Willis, Darlene Brockman and husband David and Denise Stamps, all of Littlefield; two brothers, Bobby Nichols and Glenn Nichols, both of Littlefield; seven grandchildren, Corbin, Samantha, Dalton, Hunter, Skyler, Harley and Elizabeth; and a family friend, Patsy Nichols of Pampa.
