Doyle L. Keeton, 85, of Pampa, died November 17, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2015 at Highland Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall, officiating. Burial will follow in Wheeler Cemetery with military honors courtesy of the U. S. Army. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Keeton was born June 13, 1930 in McLean where he attended grade school. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1941. He married Vaneta Brewer on August 28, 1949 in New Mexico, and she preceded him in death in 2002. Doyle worked for Pampa Independent School District, and Lee Way Motor Freight. Later he became an agent for Hoover Transport, where he would hot shot until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church where he led the music and served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Doyle loved to travel and watch sports. He loved to be with his family and friends, and will be greatly missed. Survivors include a son, Allan Keeton of Pampa; a daughter, Annette Hahn and husband John of Pampa; three granddaughters, Jennifer Bradley and husband Nick of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Amy Raney and husband Brian of Dallas, and Emily Tosh and fiancé Steven Tucker of Jal, New Mexico; three grandsons, Heath Keeton of Wichita Falls, Andy Keeton of Pampa, and John Cody Hahn of Foster City, California; seven great grandchildren; and a special friend, Betty Morris of Pampa. Doyle was also preceded in death by his parents, George and Nellie Keeton; three sisters, Violet Bowers, Letha Miles and Helen Danner; and a brother, J. R. Keeton.
