Arleta Louise Jones

Arleta Louise Jones, 93, of Canadian and formerly of Pampa, died November 25, 2015 in Canadian. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM December 1, 2015 at the Butler Cemetery in Butler, Oklahoma with her nephew, Tim Jones, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Miss Jones was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Prentiss and Ethel Jones. She lived in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandle most of her life and became a resident of Pampa in 1993. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; a step-mother, Mamie Childress Jones; two brothers, Oliver Jones and Charles Jones; and three sisters, Dorothy Riggle, Evelyn Wofford, and Mildred Sweeney. Survivors include a brother, Robert Jones and wife Myrtis of Pampa; five nephews, Tim Jones and wife Debbie of Allison, Larry Jones and wife Vicky of Conroe, Leslie Jones and wife Cathy of Norman, Oklahoma, Mike Jones of Ft. Worth, and Randy Sweeney of Lexington, Oklahoma; two nieces, Karen Jones of Wheeler and Michelle Jones of Ft. Worth, and a host of other family members.
