Betty Sue Helm, 79, of Pampa, died November 30, 2015 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rick Pearson, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Helm was born July 31, 1936 in Memphis. She married Bobby Ray Helm on August 27, 1955 in Memphis. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2004. Betty had been a resident of Pampa since 1956. She worked for FirstBank Southwest for 30 years, retiring in 2000. She was a Baptist. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Willard Spencer, both in 1987; granddaughter, Kristen Garner in 1981; a brother, Arvin Spencer in 1989; a son-in-law, Marty Scott in 2008; and son, Terry Allen Helm in 2013. Survivors include two daughters, Melinda Sue Scott and fiancé Mike Ingram, and Melissa Rae Garner and husband Terry, all of Pampa; a brother, Marvin Terry Spencer and wife Linda of Borger; seven grandchildren, Brandon Scott and wife Beth, Cassi Shephard and husband Jon, Shalyn Johnston and husband Brandon, Teryn Garner and fiancé Stephen McCarley, and Bobby Helm, all of Pampa, Ashley Helm of Amarillo, Heather Pierce and husband Kyle of Yukon, Oklahoma; 16 great grandchildren, Bailie, Emily, Abigail, Allison and Katie Scott, Owen Swafford, Jaryn, Coen and Sawyer Shephard, Gunnar and Kendall Pierce, Cameron and Kellen Johnston, Gracyn and soon-to-be Colson McCarley and Liam Stinnett; a brother-in-law, Jack Helm of Fort Worth; and two sisters-in-law, Billie Helm of Fort Worth and Myrtle Helm of Childress. Memorials may be made to Coronado Healthcare Activity Fund, 1504 W. Kentucky, Pampa, Texas 79065.
