Elva Heiskell, 93, of Sun City, Arizona, and formerly of Pampa, Texas, died December 1, 2015 in Conroe, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Roy King, Disciples of Christ minister from Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Heiskell was born November 2, 1922 in Hollis, Arkansas. She married Grover Heiskell on June 29, 1946 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2014. She moved from Pampa in 1965 to Houston where she lived until 1998 when she moved to Sun City, Arizona. Elva retired from Exxon after 22 years of service. She was a member of the Disciples of Christ. She was a former member of the Pampa Country Club and a member of the Palm Brook Country Club in Sun City. Survivors include her son, Grover Heiskell, Jr. and wife Jeannie of Conroe; her daughter, Susan Jackson and husband Jeff of Arvada, Colorado; two grandsons, Trey Heiskell and wife Jennifer of Lafayette, California, and Matt Heiskell of Belcamp, Maryland; six great grandchildren; a brother, David Tubbs and wife Guinette of California; and two sisters, Frances Adkins of Amarillo and Wilma Southwick and husband Gene of Gilbert, Arizona. Elva was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and six sisters. Elva was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Her grandson Trey graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and Matt graduated from Harvard University and received his MBA from Duke University. Her family loved her dearly and she will be missed. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.
