Virginia Ann Hoard

Virginia Ann Hoard, 62, of Pampa, died December 7, 2015 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hoard was born February 15, 1953 in Utica, New York. She graduated from Excelsior College in Utica. She married Joe Hoard on July 21, 1979 in Huntsville. Virginia served as a Captain in the U. S. Army Reserve. She had been a resident of Pampa since 2002. Virginia worked for Pampa Regional Medical Center, Shamrock General Hospital, and currently worked for Heritage Convalescent Center in Amarillo. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Joe Hoard of the home; a daughter, Kathy Hoard of Amarillo; two brothers, Robert Catlin and wife Sharon of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ross Catlin of Nashville, Tennessee; a sister, Bree Catlin of Charlotte, North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Joseph Hill and Joshua Hill. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Leona Catlin.
