Clarice Jewel Meadows, 83, of White Deer, died December 8, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Dale Meadows, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Meadows was born August 4, 1932 in Ellis County, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of White Deer for over 65 years. She married Plesant E. Meadows on June 4, 1950. Clarice managed the White Deer pool for 18 years where she touched many children’s lives. She also worked in the White Deer school cafeteria for several years. She loved making Christmas candy and baking cakes, but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Plesant E. Meadows of the home; a daughter, Bonita Milligan and husband Randy of Pampa; a son, Roger Meadows and wife Melinda of Edmond, Oklahoma; five brothers, Larry Schaef and wife Pat of Boswell, Oklahoma, John Schaef and wife Sue, Jack Schaef and wife Linda, and Ed Schaef and wife Peggy, all of Amarillo, and James Schaef of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister, Ruth Manion and husband Rusty of Shawnee, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Zach Meadows and wife Kacee, Candace Kirby and husband Stephen, Rachel Cohan and husband Braden and Bart Cathey; five great grandchildren, Logan Meadows, Hunter Meadows, Sawyer Meadows, Kynleigh Kirby and Kayleigh Kirby; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Jewel Bonita Schaef; son-in-law, Dan Cathey; great-granddaughter, Leah Meadows; two sisters, Barbara Fyfe and Betty Hinds; and a brother, Bob Schaef. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Nguyen and the caring nurses at Pampa Regional Medical Center, and a special niece Louessa Stroop, for their loving care. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
