Wanda Jo Watson, 79, of Pampa, passed away on December 10, 2015 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Hobart Baptist Church with Mike Watson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Watson was born on March 17, 1936 in Randolph. As a young girl her parents traveled throughout the Texas panhandle, and she was a graduate of Pampa High School. After graduation, she met Willis Watson and they married on November 10, 1957 in Pampa. Wanda has been a resident of Pampa for over 50 years. She was an active member of Hobart Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was on several committees. She worked and volunteered for several home health and nursing homes, including: Agape Home Health, Coronado Healthcare Center, Pampa Nursing Home, and the Meredith House. In her spare time Wanda liked to sew and make clothing for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Aulsie Lee Dodd Scott. Survivors include her husband, Willis Watson of the home; two sons, Drew Watson and wife Stacy of White Deer, and Trent Watson and wife Missy of Pampa; two sisters, Billie Lam of Plainview, and Carolyn Hall and husband Kenneth of Pampa; three grandsons, Jeffery Rogers of Amarillo, Colton Sweatt of El Paso, and Trenton Watson of Pampa; three granddaughters, Cassie Jackson of Amarillo, Kelsey Smith of Valley Center, Kansas, and Shelbie Watson of Amarillo. Memorials may be made to Hobart Baptist Church, 1100 W. Crawford, Pampa, Texas 79065. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
