Carolea Booth Summers

Carolea Booth Summers, 83, of Lefors, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Worley Kennedy, pastor of Faith Bible Church in Pampa, and Larry Haddock, pastor of First Christian Church of Wellington, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa. Arrangements are under the direction Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Summers was born Jan. 6, 1932 in Beaver County, Oklahoma to Lincoln and Ione Mae Booth. She married Carl Summers on Feb. 7, 1948 in Arnett, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 2004. Carolea was a resident of Pampa from 1951-1977 when she moved to Lefors. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Bible Church in Pampa. Survivors include two sons, Lincoln “Butch” Summers and wife Gail of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Archie Summers, Sr. and wife Suzie of Lefors; three daughters, Carol Faye Ziegelgruber and husband Lee and Melba Mae Woelfle and husband Mike, all of Pampa, and Sue Seitz of Amarillo; a sister, Wilma Faye Laubhan of Bushland; two sisters-in-law, Lovella Booth of Arnett, Oklahoma and Mable Harris and husband Howard of Golden Valley, Arizona; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Carolea was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Gene Booth, and a son-in-law, Jim Seitz. Memorials may be made to Lefors Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 361, Lefors, TX 79054 or Pregnancy Support Center, 210 N. Ward, Pampa, TX 79065. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 PM Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
