Morris Elic Brown, 87, of McLean, died December 25, 2015 in McLean. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Brown was born October 16, 1928 in Visalia, California, one of eight children. He grew up working on farms with his family around Chillicothe. Morris worked most of his life for Royal Oil and Gas Corporation near Kellerville. He served during World War II, and he loved to dance. His granddaughter recalls him telling her, “Shea, I don’t know what people do that don’t dance!” Morris enjoyed fishing and entering his 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible in local parades with his three grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Ronny Brown and wife Cindy of Kellerville, and Don Brown and wife Darla of Borger; two sisters, Willie Nichols of McLean and Dorothy Locke of Lefors; two granddaughters, Cassie Rash and husband Marty of Canadian and Tatum Alexander and husband Chris of Grapevine; and four great grandchildren, Hagan and Heston Rash of Canadian and Cambree and Caison Brown of Pampa. Morris was preceded in death by a grandson, Clint Brown, in 2013. Memorials may be made to McLean Care Center, 605 W. 7th, McLean, Texas 79057.
