Maria Angelica "Angel" Gutierrez

Maria Angelica “Angel” Gutierrez, 61, of Pampa, died January 22, 2016 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, January 25, 2016, at Carmichael-Whaley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Kyle Ohsfeldt of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Gutierrez was born January 19, 1955 in Juarez, Mexico. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1980, moving from Juarez. She worked at the Coney Island as a dishwasher for 16 years. Survivors include her daughter, Angelica Gutierrez of Pampa; her mother, Laurencia Veliz of Sacramento, California; four sisters, Rosa Diaz, Cecilia and Aracely, all of California, and Linda Bravo of Mexico; four brothers, Ramon Bravo and Victor Bravo, both of California, and Jose Luis Bravo and Ricardo Bravo, both of Mexico; three granddaughters, Jessica Gutierrez, Alexandra Gutierrez and Sara Honeycutt, all of Pampa; a grandson, David Gutierrez of Pampa; and a sister-in-law, Guadalupe Carrillo and husband Gustavo of Pampa. Maria was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.
