Ross Coleman, 75, of Duncan, Oklahoma, died Feb. 1, 2016 in Duncan. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Duncan, with Dr. Bryan Pain officiating. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2016 at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas with Pastor Mike Watson of Hobart Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Ross was born on January 26, 1941 in Skellytown, TX to Clifford and Fannie Coleman. Ross attended school in Skellytown and graduated from White Deer High School in 1959. He began his career in the oil/gas industry with Skelly Oil, Getty Oil and Texaco Oil Companies. He retired from the Texaco Gas Plant in Velma, OK after 25 years of service. Ross loved dogs; he had a hobby of grooming schnauzers which he enjoyed immensely. Through grooming dogs he met and became friends with a lot of great people. He made his professions of faith when he was a boy. He had such love for the LORD. Ross was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Pampa for 16 years. They continued being active in the church and faithful to the LORD as members of the First Baptist Church in Duncan for 20 years. Ross married Frances Steward in 1962 in Skellytown. They were residents of Pampa for 20 years and where they raised their boys, before moving to Duncan in 1990. Ross is survived by his wife Frances Coleman of the home; two sons, Cavin Coleman and his wife Peggie Coleman, Darrin Coleman and his wife Toni Coleman all of Pampa; a sister, Sue Smith of Pampa; two aunts, Mary John Reed of Duncan, Irene Brower of Grand Rapids, MI; four grandchildren, Casey Coleman, Evan Coleman, Devin Coleman, Callie Lamb; four great grandchildren, Aaliyah Torres, Eli Coleman, Hayden Lamb, Braylin Lamb; two step grandchildren, Mandy Webber, Randi Carnahan; four step great grandchildren, Keegan Jernigan, Kirstien Day, Kimbrea Weber, Kamden Weber, Rylee Jouett, Kylee Carnahan and one great great grandchild, Jase Jernigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Fannie Coleman; brothers, Hanky Coleman and Charlie Coleman.
