Monte Melissa Kreis Couch, 43, of Panhandle, died February 8, 2016 in Panhandle. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2016, at the United Methodist Church in White Deer, with Rev. Dr. Jerry R. Lane, officiating. Burial will follow in the White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Couch was born May 19, 1972 in Breckenridge. She had been a resident of both Breckenridge and White Deer most of her life. She worked as a manager at Skinny’s in Breckenridge for four years. Melissa married Rocky Pugh and he preceded her in death. She later married Oda Couch on March 21, 2015 in Caddo, and they made their home in Panhandle. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in White Deer. Melissa loved to do crafts, enjoyed coloring, ceramics and needle point. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Oda Couch of the home; two sons, Derek Pugh and Nathaniel Pugh of Breckenridge; a daughter, Sierra Pugh of Breckenridge; her father, Monte Kreis and wife Sherrie of Stanton; her mother, Karen Squyres of Breckenridge; her grandfather, Frankie Kreis of White Deer; and her grandparents, J. C. and Barbara Squyres of Breckenridge. Melissa was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ellen Kreis. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, PO Box 835, White Deer, Texas 79097.
