Carlos Andrew Grissom

Carlos Andrew Grissom, 34, of Pampa, died February 11, 2016 in Hemphill County. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, February 15, 2016, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor, and Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Grissom was born April 1, 1981 in Ulysses, Kansas. He had been a resident of Pampa most of his life, graduating from Pampa High School in 1999. He married Haley Son on August 1, 2003 in Golden, Colorado. Carlos worked in the oilfield several years, and was currently working for Light Tower Rentals in Canadian. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he also taught Sunday school. Carlos was a member of the Hoover Volunteer Fire Department and the Pampa Football Booster Club. He enjoyed working and being outdoors. He was an avid Denver Bronco fan and loved spending time with his family. Carlos loved watching his boys play football. Survivors include his wife, Haley Grissom of the home; his daughter, Mikaela of the home; two sons, Dustin and Dakota of the home; his mother, Mary Grissom of Pampa; his sister, Theresa Benjamin of Pampa; his brother, Scott Walker of Longtown, Oklahoma; and two nieces, Kendall Benjamin and Carmen Bronecke. Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Joe “Pops” Grissom; and grandparents, Andy and Carmen Virdell, and Carlos and Bonnie Grissom. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 621, Pampa, Texas 79066-0621. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
