Mary Berniece Havenhill, 93, of Pampa, died February 14, 2016 in Amarillo. Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Highland Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall, officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Havenhill was born January 28, 1923 in Wheeler. She was reared in Wheeler where she attended schools, and graduated from Wheeler High School. She was gifted with a beautiful voice, and at one time, was invited to sing on the local radio show. She married Grady Havenhill, and he preceded her in death. Berniece had been a resident of Pampa since the early 1970’s. She was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church. The family would like to offer their gratitude to all of Berniece’s friends at McDonald’s and United Supermarket whom she would have breakfast and dinner with daily; and to her close friends, John and Judy Warner, Jo Bailey, Neil and Mary Fulton, Marvin and Pauline Daugherty, Guadalupe D’Valenciano and her daughter Ashley Albus, Regina Woods, Dean Lynch, Duane Harp, and many others. The family also extends special appreciation to Pastor Bro. Paul Nachtigall and his wife Vicki, and the Highland Baptist Church family for the love and support shared with Berniece and the family over the years. Survivors include two grandsons, Richey and LeeAnn Havenhill of Arlington, and Scott Havenhill of Lubbock; two great grandsons, Christopher Ryan Havenhill of Austin, and Eric Colton Havenhill of Fort Worth; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Bailey Havenhill of Fort Worth; and a brother, C. R. Bailey and wife Deborah of Aurora, Colorado. Berniece was also preceded in death by a son, Gene Havenhill, and a sister Charlene Luttrell. Memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church, 1301 N. Banks, Pampa, Texas 79065. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 PM Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
