Carl Newton Connell

Carl Newton Connell, 55, of Pampa, died February 22, 2016 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 25, 2016, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Connell was born December 11, 1960 in Pampa. He was a 1979 graduate of Lefors High School. Carl worked for the City of Lefors for over ten years before going to work for the City of Pampa. He loved racing dirt bikes, doing yard work and spending time with his family. He was willing to help anyone at any time. Everyone who knew him, called him their friend. Carl was a Christian, a wonderful father figure and role model to his children. Survivors include the love of his life and his best friend, Courtney Pulatie of the home; a daughter, Kimberleigh Pulatie of the home; two sons, Cayson Pulatie of the home, and Eric Connell of Texas; and his mother, Geraldine Connell of Pampa. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Elwood Connell.
