Robert “Lenny” Diaz, 54 of Amarillo, died March 4, 2016 in Amarillo. Vigil will be at 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa. Funeral mass will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 10, 2016, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in with Rev. Roy Kafula, associate pastor, officiating. Cremation will follow the services under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Lenny was born January 14, 1962 in Pampa where he was a 1980 graduate of Pampa High School. He had been a resident of Amarillo since 1982. He worked for Amarillo Globe and Affiliated Foods. Lenny was a Catholic. Lenny would do anything for anyone. He would do without for himself in order to give to others. He enjoyed working, playing golf and coaching boys during flag football season, but he most enjoyed fishing every summer. Survivors include two sons, Bryan Diaz of Southlake, and Stephen Diaz of Amarillo; his mother, Concha Diaz of Pampa; a brother, Ricky Diaz of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Dominic, Madison and Landyn. He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Diaz; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. L. S. Ramirez; and an aunt, Elvira Guerra.
