Rev. Frank Daniel Anderson, 84, of Pampa, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, in McLean. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, March 14, 2016, at Briarwood Church, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Anderson was born July 5, 1931 in De Leon to Rev. Harvey and Catharine Anderson. He graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God High School in Waxahachie. He graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Theology degrees in 1955. He transferred to the University of North Texas in Denton and received both Bachelor and Master degrees in Education. He completed education certification in administration at West Texas A & M University in Canyon. For further graduate work, he attended Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he was awarded a National Science Foundation grant in mathematics. Frank married Donna Elaine Tolleson of Oklahoma City on September 3, 1955, in Faith Tabernacle in Oklahoma City, and they were married sixty years. He attended Briarwood Church. He had previously served as youth minister, choir director and Sunday school teacher at First Assembly of God Church. Frank conducted jail services in Gray County jail for 40 years and was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. Frank moved to White Deer in 1957 and was employed as a teacher in White Deer ISD. He moved to Pampa in 1961 and taught school at Woodrow Wilson Elementary and Pampa Junior High, totaling 36 years. He owned and operated Anderson Photography for 33 years. Frank was a member of Professional Photographers of America and attended the national conventions which were held in various large cities throughout the United States. In the summers, he participated in the summer photography seminars in Kerrville, sponsored by Texas School of Photography, and entered photography prints for which he received merit awards. His winning photography was then displayed at national conventions. Frank was past president of the Pampa Evening Lions Club, a former District 2-T-1 Lions Club newsletter editor, and past president of the Pampa Classroom Teachers’ Association. In 1966, he was named Outstanding Young Educator. He was inducted into the Gamma Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, a professional fraternity in education. Frank was currently a member of the Pampa Retired Teachers Association and was a life member of the Texas State Teachers Association and National Education Association. Survivors include his daughter, Valerie Halvorson and husband Jeff of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Terra Truitt and Roselyn Halvorson, both of Oklahoma City, and Tracie Grace and husband Taylor Poole Christ of Sedro Woolley, Washington; a grandson, Thomas Calkins of Olympia, Washington; a great grandson, Benjamin Daniel Grace Christ of Sedro Woolley, Washington; his twin brother, Floyd W. Anderson and wife Bethel of Carrollton; sister-in-law, Mable Tolleson of Westminster, California; and five nephews and one niece. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Catharine Anderson; a sister, Esther Miller; two brothers-in-law, Earl Miller and William J. Tolleson; and his wife, Donna Anderson on February 21, 2016. Memorials may be made to Pampa Retired Teachers Association, 2434 N. Cherokee, Pampa, Texas 79065; Briarwood Church, 1800 W.
