Howard Dewitt Kitchens, 75, of White Deer, died March 13, 2016 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 18, 2016, at First Baptist Church in White Deer, with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor, and Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Kitchens was born December 18, 1940 in Erick, Oklahoma, where he attended schools. He had been a resident of Pampa since the early 1960’s. Howard was a gas station attendant and worked at Culligan Water Conditioning, and he also worked as a security guard in 1996. He was a member of First Baptist Church of White Deer. Howard was a loving grandfather. He was an avid collector of model cars. Survivors include his wife, Louise Kitchens of the home; two daughters, Veronica Kitchens, and Shauna Epperson and husband Greg, all of Pampa; a stepson, Harold Stone and wife Patty of Iowa; a stepdaughter, Sheila McDowell of Amarillo; three sisters, Sheila Fetty of California, Wanda Eslick of Pampa, and Debbie Davis of White Deer; a brother, James Hogue of California; six grandchildren, Stephany Van Buskirk, Ashley Van Buskirk and Cody Epperson, all of Pampa, Harold Stone, II, Kimberly Lane and Melanie Van Loh, all of Iowa; ten great grandchildren; his dog Paddy; and several nieces and nephews.
