Sue Griffin

Sue Griffin, 75 of Rotan, died March 17, 2016 in Pampa. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 21, 2016 at Bethel Cemetery in Red River County, with Mac Broadway officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Griffin was born May 13, 1940 in Fulbright, graduating from Detroit High School in Detroit, TX. She married Edmond Broadway in May 1957; he passed away in 1962. She later married John Griffin in 1965; he passed away in June 2008. While she was married to John they worked in several school districts, the last being in McLean. After retiring they moved to Rotan. Sue enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and spending time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Smith and husband Jody of Rotan, and Sheila McFatridge and husband Doug of Pampa; a son, Thomas Broadway of Seymour, Indiana; and three granddaughters, Kortney Smith of Pampa, Staci Smith of Pampa, and Kim Mansker of Rotan. Family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity. Viewing will be Saturday from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa. Sunday visitation will be at Bright-Holland Funeral Home in Paris, Texas from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM.
