Emma Louise Gores West, 90, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and formerly of Pampa, Texas, died March 23, 2016 at Quail Ridge Living Center in Siloam Springs. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Pampa with Pastor Dallas Stringer officiating. Burial will follow in White Deer Cemetery in White Deer under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. West was born June 26, 1925 on the family farm near White Deer, Texas, to John and Emma Gores. She married Leonard (Lynn) G. West on December 24, 1943 in Borger. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1992. She attended Amarillo Business College and worked 15 years as a sales clerk for JC Penney. Over her 49 years of marriage to Lynn, she lived in Skellytown, Dumas, and Pampa, Texas; Hugoton, Liberal and Garden City, Kansas; and Hobbs, New Mexico. She was a born-again Christian and an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pampa. In 2013, Louise moved to Quail Ridge Living Center near Siloam Springs, Arkansas. “Weezie” will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who was happiest when surrounded by her extended family. Survivors include two sons: Dennis West (Shereen), of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Rodney West (Donna), of Osborne, Kansas; a brother, Riemer (Pete) Gores of Pampa; Four beloved grandchildren: Matthew (Catherine) West; Jesse (Jessica) West, Daisy (Dave) Fultz, Elizabeth (Omar) Mejia; two great grandchildren: Lillian (Geovanni) Stoppel and Evelyn West, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Luke West, and 8 brothers and sisters: John, Ida, Catheryn, Charlie, Melvin, Jim, Pauline, and Carla.
