Betty Williams Hannon, 73, of Pampa, died March 26, 2016 in Amarillo. Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Lefors, with Rev. Ken Houston, pastor, and Rev. Lewis Ellis, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hannon was born November 14, 1942 in Pampa. She married Jimmy Hannon on April 6, 1963 in Pampa. She had been a resident of Pampa since 2000, moving from Lefors. Betty was a homemaker and worked at Lefors High School as a teacher’s aide. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Lefors where she taught Sunday school and led music. She was a member of the Lefors Art and Civic Club. She sang at numerous weddings and funerals, and music was her passion. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Hannon of the home; two daughters, Cynthia Solis and husband Ronn of Frisco, and Ginger Jernigan and husband John of Lefors; a son, Jimmy Hannon and wife Misty of Water Valley; eight grandchildren, Brittany Tarbet and Shea Tarbet, both of Dallas, T. J. Leach of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dominic Solis of Frisco, Trae Hannon of Canyon, Bradley Hannon of McLean, and Keegan Jernigan and Harli Jernigan, both of Lefors; three great grandchildren, Kadin Leach and Maddison Leach, both of Amarillo, and Jase Jernigan of Lefors; one brother, Jerry Dean Williams and wife Bennie of McLean; many nieces and nephews, including Susie Thomas and husband C. W. of Beaver, Oklahoma, and Johnny Williams of Amarillo. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Toby and Ollyne Williams; and a brother, Harold Dewayne Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Outdoor Activities Area, PO Box 365, Lefors, Texas 79054. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
